A TAPP account brings together your trips and charges and offers you many self-service tools so you can manage your account quickly and easily. By registering for a TAPP account, you gain more control of your travel experiences.
No, however having a TAPP account is strongly recommended. You do not need a TAPP account to pay your fare with contactless payments. However, there are benefits to registering for a TAPP account that allow you to access a secure website to view your trips and charges.

Having a Personal Identification Number (PIN) is not required, however, it adds an additional layer of security for your account. If you set up a four-digit PIN, you can use it to manage your TAPP account and check your trip history by phone using the interactive self-service voice system. You can set up or change your PIN in your TAPP account online.

You can reset your PIN online or by phone. To reset your PIN online, simply log into your TAPP account. Contact the TAPP Customer Service Center at 1-800-234-7284 (PATH) to reset your PIN by phone.
If you registered for a TAPP account using an email address, then your email address is your username. If you forgot the email address that you entered during the account registration process, contact us online or call the TAPP Customer Service Center 1-800-234-7284 (PATH). You may be asked to provide identifying information. Once complete, you will be provided with the email address that was used during the account registration process.
If you forget your password, you can reset it online or over the phone. To reset your password online visit the Account Page and select "Forgot your password?" and you will be directed to a page to enter your account email address. You will receive an email containing instructions for resetting your password. To reset your password by phone, contact TAPP Customer Service Center at 1-800-234-7284 (PATH).
